    • I tried to record one side of a cassette tape. The best the recorder could do is 26 seconds of what should be a half hour. Why is this?

      It could be a mechanical issue please check your warranty.

    • I have a cassette playing on the device and when I pluge the usb into my computer nothing happens?

      The USB stick needs to be plugged to the cassette player itself.

    • I bought the Pyle PCASRS17 off of Amazon. I was excited to convert my tapes. I inserted a cassette along with a USB flash drive and pressed "Play". The tape didn't start to play. I thought I may have had to hit the record button on the back. Still nothing. I pulled out the USB drive and the tape starts to roll. I formatted the Flash drive in Windows, to FAT32. Tried again, and still nothing. It's a 8gb Sandisk drive. Am I doing something wrong or is the player defective?

      The format was correct FAT32 and its maximum Flash Drive capacity is up to 32 GB

    • What format does the USB drive need to be formatted in? I've tried both a MS-DOS format and one of the MacOS formats and the device does not yet record to the thumb drive.

      Hi! The PCASRSD17 is a converter recording device that reproduces tape content into mp3 formats and is not designed to do mixes. But, if you have old mix tapes, you can convert it all to a digital mp3 format using PCASRSD17.

      Using a 32 GB MemoryStick will be more than sufficient for the recorded file to be transferred and converted to MP3.

      No there is no option to Record directly to a computer.
