  • Good afternoon. I am writing to inquire if it is possible to purchase the speaker trim (the trim that encases the speaker), or is it one piece? I ask because the trim from one of my speakers fell from the ceiling and when I attempted to reinstall it it broke in a few pieces. The speaker is still in one piece, it's simply the outside time that is broken. Thank you in advance

The speaker comes in one piece.

  • Does this come as a single speaker have 4 only need one more

Reviews

EXCELLENT BASS

"Awesome speakers. . . ! I installed these pairs in my living room ceiling and WOW, the bass. I recommend if you like deep, rich bass from your speakers when playing music."

Dean P. (5/5)

Plastic housing cracks, dangerous

"I bought 4 pairs of these and installed them in my ceilings, within a few years all of them had cracks in the plastic, 2 of them have spontaneously dropped the metal grill, and I suspect it is only a matter of time before the speakers themselves start falling out of the ceiling as other reviewers have experienced. These could seriously injure someone."

Glenda E. (1/5)

The sound

"I purchased these for a 12x20 room and they are perfect. Very easy to understand and install."

Kysis T. (5/5)

Great sound when loud

"Use these in both lobby and escape rooms. They have a great sound and easy to install."

Samantha O. (5/5)

Great sound but one speaker dead already

"One speaker already dead."

Jeremy S. (1/5)

Plastic cracks and speaker fell from ceiling

"I had these speakers installed for about 5 years before they started to spontaneously crack in the ceiling. It got so bad that chunks of plastic started falling from the ceiling, then the grille fell off by itself, finally the entire speaker came crashing down from the ceiling onto the floor. Good thing no one was underneath it at the time, potential legal issue. I let Pyle customer service know, request (393705) via Mercedes at Pyle, and they said it was normal wear and tear! Summary: cheap plastic, bad customer service. You get what you pay for."

Levi S. (1/5)

Beware! Plastic Housing around speakers becomes brittle over time and speakers fall down! Beware!

"I bought seven sets of these over the past few years for two differant homes. In both houses, the plastic housing around the speakers became brittle and literally falls apart. It starts as a small crack on the exposed trim ring, then the grill falls, then the speaker actually falls. One of them fell from a 15' high ceiling smashed into my wood floor and chipped the floor. I contacted Pyle directly and sent them pictures and all the info. They did nothing to help me and said the speakers were out of warranty. What a terrible company these guys are! That is shameful."

Avi L. (1/5)

Falls from ceiling over time

"The product does not age well. Falls from ceiling due to plastic aging / cracking."

Teri G. (1/5)

Workes great

"It was easy to install and connect upto my stereo. The sound quality was very good but the price was the best price. If you go with a smaller speaker the base sound is greatly reduced. I had two smaller speakers and I can tell the difference right away."

Shawn M. (5/5)

Yes they do crumble and are dangerous

"We purchased a home several years ago and previous homeowner kindly left us with 16 speaker holes in the ceiling after he took all his ceiling speakers with him. We needed to find an affordable speaker to replace the former ones, and chose these based on the price. We had them professionally installed and sound was surprisingly decent but we only used them a handful of times. Flash forward 3-4 years. I began noticing cracks in the circular plastic flashing of the speaker casement. Shortly afterward, one of the metallic speaker screens dropped to the floor accompanied by small fragments of the plastic casing. I grabbed the ladder and tried gently replacing the screening back in place when the entire speaker casing exploded into mass of plastic fragments on top of me followed by the speaker falling out of the ceiling and barely missing my head. Several of the other speakers have exhibited same problem since then. Now the ones in our kitchen are showing stress fractures and just this week dropped another speaker screen on the kitchen floor. Obviously will not be buying them again."
