  • Will a Pyle PLMRA830BT amp run 8 50 watt Pyle speakers powered by PLMRB29B? Is there anything else I need to make it work? How can the volume on different zones be controlled? Does it generate too much heat to be in an enclosed space/ Thanks Joe

  • Hi, a customer of mine needs a 6 or 8 channel Elite Marine Amplifier for use in an Outdoor Patio/Barbeque Area. The weather here is humid with temperatures over 50 Degrees Celsius. Will any of your 6/8 channel Bluetooth Amplifiers work in these temperatures? Also they have 6 Polk Audio Atrium 6 speakers installed in the outdoor patio/barbeque area. Will the 6/8 channel bluetooth marine amplifier work well with these speakers? Which model would you recommend for such weather conditions?

    The PLMRA830BT is a car Amplifier that would need an external power supply.

  • I have a PLMRA830BT in my boat and need a head unit, it is hooked up to 6 speakers and a subwoofer. Which head unit would be best for this amp and speaker set up? Do i need an installation kit for it?

    To fully power your 6 speakers and a subwoofer using the PLMRA830BT 8-channel amplifier, you need a marine head unit equipped with 3 sets of RCA pre-amp outputs (Front, Rear, and Subwoofer).

    The best matching head unit for this specific layout is the Pyle PLMR91B (or any premium marine receiver with 6 total RCA output jacks on the back). Channels 1 through 6 on your amplifier will connect to the Front and Rear RCA jacks to power your 6 individual full-range speakers, while channels 7 and 8 will be bridged together to drive your single subwoofer using the head unit's dedicated Subwoofer RCA output.

  • I am using the bluetooth from my phone for this AMP, what head unit should i use just to control volume? maybe even on/off switch? I am not looking to buy a stereo.

    You can try using the PLMRBT18 with this product.

    It can work without a head unit by connecting a Bluetooth device. however, it is still best to use a head unit

  • I am having trouble with my boat install I have a Pyle head unit bad the elite 8 channel amp. I can get the radio through the speakers. But blue tooth isn't working. And I'm not quite sure. How to get the RCA cables to work. I bought a splitter. But still no luck. Does the amp install right out of the box or do I have to play with the levels.

    Channels 1 to 6 are full range channels where you can connect Hi Mid speakers
    7 & 8 channel is a dedicated Subwoofer output

  • Is each individual RCA input port a two-channel port? It says connect channel 1 and 3 to the same RCA port, for example. I can't seem to find a suitable cable/adapter, all I can find are Y-splitter cables which are stereo-to-mono-RCA.

Gets hot fast

"I liked the price which is why I'm sure ALOT of use bought this amp, When the amp hits it hits hard , but even with the gain turned down low and all the bass turned off at the deck , the amp will start to get hot after 4-5 songs and shut off to cool down, once it's cooled down your back to bass , that is until it gets hot again repeat process. I have the 1400x2 amp , on 2 fosgate 10s p3s The amp does not handle the base at all. I give it a 3 star because when it is cold it works great, it's price effective, however there is no longer car rides and enjoying your music loud with this amp"

Dont buy

"Bought to test out. The shortest lived amp ive ever had. Bought this amp 3 weeks ago. put 2 600 watt audio legend 12 inch subwoofers to it. Have it turned half way up. And its dead. Says it has anti thump so when turned on the speakers dont hit. that didnt work. didnt blow any fuses, checked all my connections. Ive been installing car audio for 20 years. My cheap Dual amp lasted forever. Ill never buy Pyle again."

Not meant for quality system

"You get what you pay for!!!This amp works however always look at the fuses. Example amp says 1400W and it only has two 20a fuses which puts out a max of 400w. Also if you turn it up the amp over heats and kicks off Your better off getting a well known name brand like Alpine ect. ."

"Don't use this for your car. Buy something else, this almost caught my car on fire. It overheated running a 2500 watt evl 12. was just testing the amp. Not worth it, Walmart 2500 watt $99 amp is better."

Not good

"I work in car audio and wanted a cheap. setup for my girlfriend. We got brand new 1500 watt subs and needed a amp so we got this. . it is advertised for 1400 watts which is absolute incorrect. I tested these and each channel. is getting between 420-540 watts per speaker. This is not what I paid for. Also the amp gets incredibly hot. Very very very hot and smells like it's burning. There are way better options than this."
