QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Ask a Question-
What cable do you use to connect to the input side of the amp. I am using the amp in conjunction with a Pyle PLCD 54MP receiver which works great. Unable to tell if amp is on but has power to it. Please advise input cable details.
To connect your Pyle PLCD54MP receiver to the PLMRMB4CB amplifier, you need a standard Stereo RCA Audio Cable (red and white plugs on both ends)
Plug one end of the RCA cable into the Rear RCA Line Outputs on the back of your PLCD54MP receiver, and connect the other end directly to the Stereo RCA Input Jacks on the amplifier's input harness. Once connected, peel back the amplifier's rubber watertight plug and make sure the internal INPUT LEVEL switch is clicked to the LINE position.
If your amplifier is getting power but you can't tell if it is turning on, the issue is almost always the Blue Remote Turn-On Wire. Amplifiers require a secondary 12V ignition trigger signal to boot up. To fix this:
Locate the Blue wire coming out of the PLMRMB4CB amplifier harness
Locate the matching Blue (or Blue/White) Remote Output wire coming from the back harness of your PLCD54MP receiver.
Splice these two blue wires together.
When you turn on your receiver, it will send a 12V signal down that blue wire to automatically kick the amplifier out of standby mode. When the amplifier turns on successfully, the control compartment behind the watertight rubber plug will light up.
