    • How many channels can this record? My software will not detect more than 2-channel, but I need simultaneous recording for 4.

       The PMUX6 functions as a 2-channel USB audio interface when connected to a computer. While it has multiple input channels for mixing, the USB output is sent as a stereo (left/right) mix, not as separate multitrack channels.

      So if your software only detects 2 channels, that is normal behavior. The PMUX6 cannot record 4 independent channels simultaneously over USB. For true 4-channel simultaneous recording, you would need a multitrack USB audio interface specifically designed to send each input to the computer on its own channel.

    • What cables are used for the monitor outputs? Can I connect directly to the amplifier or to the speakers. Thank you

    "A great interface for a beginner, it comes with no information or software on how to set it up so that your computer will function with it, so be prepared to get on you tube to find that info out, but once you figure that out it's all pretty seamless, also if you intend to use it with a MacBook, you will need a USB adaptor, great sound quality and user friendly."

    "It's a stand alone unit if you rather not use a DAW, some issues, like the effects affect everything equally, and I don't see a way to separate it to a certain input, so if you're running a and guitar and you want a little reverb on the mic it will affect the guitar with reverb to, so that part is not ideal but I'm still playing with it, it is however a decent unit, it's just not really for recording"
