QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Ask a Question-
How can this be a phono preamp without RIAA EQ? It would not play LPs correctly without it.
The preamps were created without the RIAA
-
Is this a MM or MC pre-amp?

I have a Pyle amplifier for my turntable. It worked fine when I plugged it into my computer using a two line to one line converter. I got a new computer that does not have the same input so I have to use a USB converter. I used a Syba Multimedia USB 2.0 external stereo sound adapter with mic input, and it worked, but I got a weird feedback sound (like a zeeeep!) every so often. So I just connected the output of the Pyle amplifier to a stero to USB connector, and now I don't get any sound, and the computer is not recognizing the USB input. Any suggestions? I have the PP555 Pyle ultracompact phone turntable pre-amplifier.

Does this PP999 preamp have RIAA equalization ?
It does not have
-
I have inserted the PP999 preamp between my pioneer turntable and Yamaha receiver. I am concerned though as the sound though amplified nicely is very scratchy, and not pure. The turntable hooked up to my pioneer amp was very clear. My Yamaha receiver does not have a preamp but has more power (watts per channel), hence my switch. What might be the cause?
Check the turn table it may have a built in preamp already

Why would you design this product without RIAA equalization? It won't sound right on Vinyl Albums that use RIAA and which is also a standard?
Our Phono preamps are simple basic phono preamps. However, we are now working in making them RIAA compilant

Is this phono pre-am processor for use with Moving Magnet, aka MM cartridges or the Moving Coil, MC cartridges?

hello....why is the input right channel color, coded red and output right channel color coded black? pyle pp999
The RED Code should actually be the Right channel. However if the color code is confused with the Black Just connect the RED cable to where the right channel is as marked on the chassie

Product is mislabeled, made wrong! On the INPUT side of the PP999 where the R is for right the plug is WHITE NOT RED. So where the L is for left the plug is RED NOT WHITE. So I disregarded the label and plugged the red wire into the red plug. I don't know if what I did is correct or not because the R and L plugs are NOT correct according to the photo on the manual. For this reason I am considering getting an exchange. But how do I know if another one will have the same problem? Your QUALITY CONTROL is not doing their job. It is so obvious just looking at it. I bought it through AMAZON. How do you want to handle this problem???
Please disaregard the color coding for the input if it got switched around. However RED Cable is for right and White Cable is for Left

Is it safe to leave the preamp PP999 plugged into the wall or power strip when not using the turntable for any length of time? I just received it this week and it works great.
It is best not leave it pluged in when not in use
