There should be no static since the connection is over the air

Ther is no option to update the Bluetooth of the PFA220BT but you can get a Bluetooth to replace the one currently in use. Please check the link:

I have an older TV without bluetooth. I'm currently using the PFA300 amp, which works great with my old speakers, but I need remote volume control. Can I program this device to control the volume with my current ATT UVerse remote? Can I exchange my PFA300 for this device?
The unit does not come with a code for the remote control. it is not possible for the ATT Uverse remote to control it.

My PFA220BT switches randomly to Bluetooth mode, even when I'm using it in AUX mode. Can I disable that "feature"?
Try to switch to USB before using AUX.
