Trying to connect to TV with RCA cables, no sound plays. Do I need to use an HDMI to RCA converter?
Check the TV's Audio out if it is Optical. If so what you can use is a Digital to analog converter

My unit started doing strange things. I am now unable to move between modes, when I push the mode button nothing happens. The volume goes randomly up and down and the LED readout shows the numbers going up and down at the same time. I almost thought that something was on top of the remote. The remote didn't even have a battery in it. I tried to power it off and power it on again with no help. Is this a common problem or is there a possible fix?
if the unit is within 30 days from purchase, please coordinate with the seller for replacement. However, if it is past 30days you can send it in for evaluation and repair

Installing now. 1. If my speakers are 8ohm and this is 4ohm can I direct wire into the amp or do u need to parallel wire? 2. The output jacks are not spring loaded, so I just use Phillips screwdrive and wrap bare wire around the screw? 3. Can I change channels in this device to change the volume and equalizer of each speaker? 4. Can I set zones with this?
1. If the Speakers are 8 ohms you can use 2 of itn parallel connection to get 4 ohms
2. Yes you can use bare wire. However, you can also use ring connector for clean wiring
3. Each output channel coresponds to an independent RCA Input. 6 Inputs = 6 output if the input source have volume controls that will be the way to control each channel
4. The unit it self only has one volume control so no option for Zonning -
