Dual Cassette Deck Mp3 Conversion
If you still have cassette tapes of your favorite albums lying around, the PT659DU is for you. Hook it up to your PC or Mac with USB and digitize those old hits! It functions as a regular cassette player too, so you can plug it in to your amp and listen to your cassettes or make a mixtape using the dual decks. Dynamic noise suppression keeps the sound clear. Plays standard and CrO2 tapes.

Hello. I am thoroughly confused as to how to convert a tape to an MP3 on a Mac device. I purchased this item specifically for this functionality. As multiple other users have commented, the manual that comes with the device (both in the box and the online version) have no specific instructions as to how to use this feature (which I imagine is a driver of sales for this particular piece of equipment, given the relative obsolescence of tapes). Further, the answers that you have given to other user questions to this end are vague and unhelpful. I am a relatively savvy tech-user and a longtime Mac owner who has read everything I can find on your website about this feature, and I am totally stumped. Simply redirecting questions to the Audacity site is not useful. Please provide detailed, clear, and comprehensive step-by-step instructions for both Mac and Windows users. Thank you.
To get the PT659DU ready to convert. You need to connect the Cassette deck to your PC using a USB to USB Type-A cable.
Once connected. You can check the Audio settings on your PC. On your Mac, click the Apple icon → Click "System Preferences" → Click "Sound" → Click "Output" → Select an output device look for Pyle.→ Customize your device settings. -
When do you expect to get this unit in stock?
We see the order is in place and we just don't have the ETA for the restocking

When I use the USB interface of the PT659DU Cassette Deck, does the USB port used appear as a sound device which I can then use as in input to a recording application such as Audacity? If that is the case, it would be very helpful if you mentioned this in your user manual.
Yes, the cassette will appear as an external sound card which you can then use as input to a recording application such as Audacity.
