QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Ask a Question-
I tried to record one side of a cassette tape. The best the recorder could do is 26 seconds of what should be a half hour. Why is this?
It could be a mechanical issue please check your warranty.

I have a cassette playing on the device and when I pluge the usb into my computer nothing happens?
The USB stick needs to be plugged to the cassette player itself.

I bought the Pyle PCASRS17 off of Amazon. I was excited to convert my tapes. I inserted a cassette along with a USB flash drive and pressed "Play". The tape didn't start to play. I thought I may have had to hit the record button on the back. Still nothing. I pulled out the USB drive and the tape starts to roll. I formatted the Flash drive in Windows, to FAT32. Tried again, and still nothing. It's a 8gb Sandisk drive. Am I doing something wrong or is the player defective?
The format was correct FAT32 and its maximum Flash Drive capacity is up to 32 GB

What format does the USB drive need to be formatted in? I've tried both a MS-DOS format and one of the MacOS formats and the device does not yet record to the thumb drive.
Fat 32

CASSETTE TO MP3 CONVERTER
With this PCASRSD17 standalone cassette to MP3 converter, you can
easily convert your old tape to MP3 without a computer, you just need
to plug a USB Flash disk (or USB card reader with SD card) on then press
“record” button, and the device will convert all of the music on tape to
your USB Flash disk in MP3 format automatically. You can also playback
on it, or just put USB Flash to other place (computer, portable speaker, or
transfer to your mobile phone, iPod, etc.) to play the recorded music. -
Could you make a mixtape with it?
Hi! The PCASRSD17 is a converter recording device that reproduces tape content into mp3 formats and is not designed to do mixes. But, if you have old mix tapes, you can convert it all to a digital mp3 format using PCASRSD17.
I hope this helps! -
Does the recorded mp3 file on the usb stick have a file size limit? In other words, if I have a 120 minute cassette, will your device record all of the 60 minutes (side a) on the usb stick without me intervening?
Using a 32 GB MemoryStick will be more than sufficient for the recorded file to be transferred and converted to MP3.
