QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Ask a Question-
1. Can a second or third camera be added? I am thinking of using for a tractor trailer. 2. Can the camera be mounted to the top of a trailer and still provide accurate distance scale? 3. If I used a very strong magnet to attach the camera would this interfere with the operation of the camera?
This unit is a one-camera system only. There may be a difference on the scale lines if the camera be placed on top of the trailer and a strong magnet may cause an interference to the video

1: What is the type of camera included with PLCM4580WIR: CMOS or CCD ? 2: What are the lengths of the various wires ? I am specifically concerned about the length of the wires on the wireless transmitter module.

On your backup camera plcm4580wir. I'm wanting to wire this unit so it is on whenever plugged in (so I can watch the screen while traveling). Since this unit is designed primarily to be used only while in reverse, will it damage this unit to be powered up and running during extended periods? I'm looking to place it at the end of a camper in order to watch a vehicle towed behind the trailer and would want to see while on the road. Thanks!!
Yes, What you wanted is possible for the PLCM4580WIR you just need to have a continues 12 volts on the camera's power supply and a continues 12 volts on the Monitor's receiver.
