I don't want the video displaying in the rearview mirror, but still want the camera recording. If I press the On/Off button, will it turn the camera off or just the video display?
The On-Off button can switch the unit On and Off and also turn the backlight on and off

I installed rearview camera over rear license plate and hooked red wire to the power side on one of the backup lights how do I get the back up camera to show up on the rearview mirror?

why do the instructions not mention placement of rear cam and says nothing about running power to it and if i run power to it is it supposed to be constant power or go off with the ignition
The unit comes with a unique camera cable designed only for the PLCMDVR49
Camera power lids are connected via the Reverse tail light and the rearview monitor is powered via the cigarette lighter adapter -
does this shut off automatically when the ignition is turned off or do you have to turn it off manually
If the cigarette lighter power socket turns off when the ignition is off then yes it will turn off. But if in cases that the cigarette lighter socket does not turn off when the ignition is off. You would need to pull the Cigarette lighter plug out

Please tell me you sell rear camera cable extensions for the PLcmDVR49 model. My truck is too long for the existing cord. I love the product it can’t use it cause the cable is a couple feet short.

Hello, I bought the PLCMDVR49 rearview mirror dash cam. the problem is when the memory card is full the camera can't continue record and the manual said: "if memory card capacity is full, then the previous video recording file will be automatically overwritten". but it doesn't happen.
