I wonder the description below in your PP555 Q&A sheet. "Q:Does this unit provide for RIAA phono equalization? Did not see it in the spec sheet. Thanks. A:The unit is a basic Magnetic Turntable and does not have any preamp. Therefore there is no equalization." Is your P555 not "phone equalizer" or PP555 does not include RIAA curve ? Your clarification is very much appreciated. Thank you.
PP555 does not have RIAA

Good morning. I have a Pyle PP555 preamp, connected to my very vintage Technics SL-1950 turntable, and the very newish Yamaha RXa760 receiver. I'm getting a LOT of noise... perhaps static or hum. Can hardly hear the music. Anyway, what do you think may be the issue and the remedy? Thanks in advance. Preston
As per checking on the Yamaha receiver specs, this unit has its own phono preamp. Simply connect your turntable to the receiver and connect the ground to the ground screw and it is good to go.

What ports do I connect the PP555 output to on my receiver??
To any input on your reciver.
