QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Ask a Question-
do I need a driver to use this to connect a microphone to garageband? It doesn't show up in the list of inputs. Thanks!
This unit is plug and play

I bought this unit with the intention of my wife recording her voice with music accompaniment. The mic plays through the usb but the rca inputs, although I can hear them on the monitor/phones, does not transmit through the usb. I have the mic connected via XLR and the music connected through rca (at mixer) to 1/8” connector (at music source). I am baffled as to why this is not functioning properly. Am I missing something? I see there are no additional drivers needed as my microphone works just fine through the system.
Try using RCA to 3.5mm Audio cable from Main out of the mixer to your computer

Some sites list the Pyle PAD10MXU Powered Mixer as just that....a "powered mixer". Does that mean theres an amp within the unit that turns up the volume on the headphones.
The mixer does not have an amp. It is not stated in our listing that it is powered

Just wanted something simple, to transcode from analog cassette to mp3. Have tried doing it with Audacity on a PC running Windows 10, to absolutely no avail after 3 hours. Then tried using a high-end CD player into a 2018 Mac Mini running Big Sur and GarageBand. In both situations the device powers up (green LED), I can make the clipping light function & I can hear sound through the headphone jack–but absolutely NOTHING GETS INTO THE COMPUTER. My Mac settings in System Preferences & GarageBand Preferences are set for USB stereo (1-2 USB Audio). this leads me to believe that your hardware is the problem. I was led to believe this was "Plug & Play"; are there drivers that need to be downloaded?
Please follow the steps below:
1.Connect your PAD10MXU Via USB cable to the USB port on your PC.
2. Windows should automatically recognize your device as “JeiLi BR17” or as “USB Audio CODEC” – and it should automatically install any necessary drivers.
3. To manually change your PC’s default sound device, go to start, settings, and under System, Click Display, Sound Notification and then click on Sound, and on the right, you will see a drop-down box for Output and Input. Simply choose your output device and your input device. Select the right external sound card, so it becomes your default preferred device for sound playback. You can do the same in the below section that reads sound recording, and in that drop down menu, you can select your USB audio device. And now, your mixer should be the default input and output sound for your computer.
