Works great as a talkback mic for recording sessions connected directly to a powered-speaker.Im wondering three things:1: is the output from the table-base balanced on pins 2 & 3 with the shield on pin 1?2: without the battery-powered base can the mic be used with phantom power?3: will standard 48v phantom power damage the mic and gooseneck when used without the switched base.
QUESTIONS & ANSWERSAsk a Question
What connection is the bottom of the mic? XLR? What is the connection on the back of the base? I can't tell by the pics or manual
If the connector on the bottom of the mic is the same as what's on the back of the base then that is a Male XLR.

Hello... I purchased a Table Top Mounted Conference Microphone PDMIKC5 from Amazon and received the system Saturday (04/11/2020). I would like to use the system on my Dell laptop computer for work-related conference calls. The computer has a small 1/8" connection and the PDMIKC5 came with a 1/4" two-ring male plug. What is the suggested fitting to purchase to successfully connect the PDMIKC5 to my laptop? Kind Regards, Scott Crafton Gallatin, TN
