  • I have an older convertible (car) and am using Bluetooth speakers (PLMRF65MW) off my iPhone. No car radio is involved. I'm currently using a portable inverter to power the speakers but they don't get loud enough, even with my iPhone on max. If I hook the speakers up to a unit such as this (PLMRMBT5B), will I be able to amplify the volume enough to make a real difference and control the volume? If not, any suggestions?

    The PLMRF65MW is a stand-alone speaker system it does not need an amplifier

  • How many amps does it draw at maximum power? I see it has a 10A fuse, so assume it wants less than that.... I actually plan to use it by a pool, so want to make sure I use the right sized power supply. Cheers, Richard.

    10 amps being the max power consumption Minimum of 5 to 7 amps

    We have not tried using it without the controller. But you can try. Normally it has to go together to work

  • Got this as a gift last year and finally got around to install it and it came on but then cut off I wire up radios for a living and this is ridiculous everything is done right and the fuses are not blown anywhere what is y’all’s replacement process?

    For Repairs and replacement process specially if it is a gift you will need to get the eReceit or electronoic proof of purchase from the person who gave you the unit. Then you can contact customer service for assistance to check on what warranty options we can provide.

    There is no Gain level adjustment on this unit. Just the volume control on the Controller

  • I have the PLMRMBT5B model that I just received on March 21. I have everything wired in correctly. The bluetooth controller will not power on. I have tired a press on. Press and hold for 2 seconds up to 10 seconds. I metered the connections and unit is getting +12v. 10amp fuse is good also. Any suggestions on the issue?

  • When I have got the head unit plugged into the Amp the head unit pulses the purple lights but it wont change the track or turn the volume up or down
