I purchased your plmrl50wb last week installed in boat well the 5 inch 15 watt speakers are toast can't handle power output. I want to know if four 8" 320watt is a good matchup for plmrl50wb

Yes, upgrading to larger 8" speakers is a great move to fix this issue, but we need to address a critical wiring detail to make sure you don't accidentally blow your radio or damage your new speakers.
Those original 5-inch speakers didn't blow because the PLMRL50WB head unit is too powerful; they blew because a marine head unit naturally distorts (clips) when pushed to max volume to overcome engine/wind noise. Digital distortion destroys small speaker voice coils incredibly fast.
