Ask a Question-
Hi there, I own two mics Tonor TC30. They're both USB (they connect as USB to the PC). Is it possible to use this mixer with them if I buy a cable Jack 6.5 (with TRS) to USB-C? In case is another cable, each one should I buy to have my mics (USB-C in this case) connected to this mixer? I'm in Portugal, so I need to know if it works before I can buy it. It's meant for a podcast and I need to have them both in Audacity.
No — the PMAX4 won’t work directly with your Tonor TC30 USB microphones, and a USB-C to 6.5mm (TRS) cable won’t solve it.
Your TC30 mics are USB digital microphones, meaning they need a computer (or device) to convert and process the signal. The PMAX4 mixer only accepts analog inputs (6.35mm/¼” or 3.5mm line/mic level), so it cannot read USB audio at all.
To use your setup for podcasting, you have two workable options:
First option is the simplest: plug both TC30 mics directly into your PC via USB and use Audacity or a DAW that supports multiple USB inputs (you may need software like Voicemeeter to combine them on Windows).
Second option is if you want to use the PMAX4 mixer: you would need to switch to analog microphones (XLR or 6.35mm) instead of USB mics, because only those will connect properly to that mixer.
So in short: there is no cable that converts USB mics into analog for the PMAX4 — it just isn’t compatible that way.
