    "I had planned to use the power supply as a backup. But I tried it with a ham radio that already had a power supply.     Unit failed from overheat

    "After using this for 6 months for my telescope, as temperatures rise it failed last night apparently from overheat (clear smell of burning electronics and no power coming out). This was under a draw of 7 Amps, well under steady state, with ambient temp at 78F. I opened it up this morning to find -- NO FAN. At this point I have no idea if it is counterfeit or if they just lie in the description, but lack of air circulation almost certainly caused the failure. At no time did the protection light come on, and I had it separately fused on output -- no overload, just over heat from lack of any air flow in a power supply already designed to run hot."
