the amp goes into protect mode when i use our karaoke mics even at lowest settings
Kindly check the speaker wire. Make sure it is 14 or 16 AWG
Speakers should be 4 to 8 Ohms and one speaker per channel -

I wired the receiver exactly how I worked my previous receiver (Sony). I have no volume control although I do get sound.I cannot set the base or treble. I have a BOSE system with a subwoofer. The wires from the speakers go to the subwoofer then to the receiver. Am I doing something wrong?

Optical and HDMI input are not working. Also, BT Audio plays for a short time and then the sound stops and the Receiver says Protect on the LCD Screen. How do I fix this issue?
Check all speaker connections if there are no wires crossing over or making a short. Check the speaker impedance if they are all 4 or 8 ohms

When I plug in HDMI ARC from my TV to HDMI ARC on receiver, there a lot of reverberation on the speakers? Is there something to do to fix this? It doesn't happen with the optical connection and no HDMI. Also, why do I get loud noises when I set digital audio output to anything but PCM?

i bought this model. it has always had a ground loop hum (with no devices attached, only passive speakers) that is constant at all volumes. This is very annoying. What do you recommend to eliminate the ground loop hum?
If nothing is connected and it has a ground loop on all modes I suggest checking your warranty options. If the ground loop is coming from an external source then we can suggest a ground loop iliminator
