    QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

    Ask a Question
    • How do you restart the music on the USB drive from the beginning ? When you plug in the USB drive it always seems to start from where you left off. This is a good feature but it is not always convenient if you are using it for a party/event and want to start the music from the beginining of the USB Drive. Even if you turn the amplifier off and remove the USB drive and then turn the amplifier back on and re-insert the USB drive it still seems to start playing the last track from where you left off before switched the amplifier back on. The only way that seems to work is to keep pressing the "previous track" button until you get to the beginning of the USB drive. This is very tedious if you have around 500 tracks on the USB drive to get through !!!!!!!! Are there any other shortcuts or buuton sequences that can do this quicker !!! ?

The behavior you are running into is the built-in "playback memory" feature. The amplifier automatically bookmarks the exact file position so power outages or accidental unplugging won't ruin a listener's place.

Since the amplifier lacks a dedicated "Return to Track 1" shortcut button on the chassis, cycling the power or pulling the drive won't clear that internal memory cache. However, you do not have to click the previous button 500 times. Here are the two quickest ways to instantly reset the drive to Track 001:

      1. The Remote Control Method (Quickest)

Use the numeric keypad on your Pyle remote control.

      • Press 0 then 1 (or just 1 depending on how the drive indexed).

      • The media player takes 1 to 2 seconds to register the command and will jump directly to the very first track on the flash drive.

      2. The PC Refresh Method (If the remote isn't handy)

If you don't have the remote at the event, the amplifier's memory is tracking the specific digital volume ID and folder structure of that USB drive. You can trick the amplifier into thinking it is a brand-new device by doing this on a computer before the party:

      • Plug the USB drive into a PC or laptop.

      • Create a new folder on the drive and name it anything you like (e.g., "Party Mix").

      • Move all 500 audio tracks inside that new folder.

When you plug the USB back into the Pyle PTA66BTEU, the reader will view the modified directory structure as a completely new directory configuration, wiping its previous internal memory bookmark and starting automatically from track 1.
