No, you generally do not have to manually drain the water during normal use.

No, during normal air conditioning use, you do not have to constantly drain a water tank.
The SereneLife SLPACHT82 is designed with a built-in auto-evaporator system. When running the machine in standard Cooling (AC) Mode, it sucks moisture from your room, sprays it onto the hot internal coils to cool the machine down, and turns that water into vapor. It then blows that water vapor straight out of the window exhaust hose along with the hot air.
However, you will need to drain the unit manually under specific conditions, and how often you do it depends completely on your environment and how you run the machine.

Yes, the SLPACHT82 is safe to leave plugged in when you’re not home. But for extra safety, it’s always a good idea to unplug it during storms or if you’ll be away for a long time.
