Can I just plug and work this or will I need something else?
You can’t just plug it straight into a wall or use it on its own. The SLSPLT18IN is a passive speaker, so you’ll need an external amplifier or powered mixer to run it. It also needs proper speaker wire from the amp to work.

The SLSPLT18IN indoor mini split works as the indoor air handler of a split air-conditioning system.
Here’s how it works in simple terms:
It’s not a standalone aircon. It must be paired with a matching outdoor compressor unit. Once both are installed together and connected by copper lines and wiring, the system circulates refrigerant between them. The indoor unit blows air into your room, while the outdoor unit removes heat from inside and releases it outside.
You control everything using the remote or WiFi (if supported), so you can set temperature, fan speed, modes like cool, dry, fan, or heat. The indoor unit also has sensors and auto functions that adjust airflow and temperature automatically based on your settings.
